A trained guide, right beside your child
A shadow teacher is a trained paraprofessional who works one-to-one alongside a child with a learning difference in a mainstream classroom. They provide in-class support, scaffolding, and accommodations — helping the child access the lesson, stay regulated, and belong fully with their peers.

Your journey with us
Cost should never be a barrier
CAN works to make shadow teacher support accessible. Where families cannot meet the cost, we offer subsidised and sponsored placements. We will always talk through options openly with you — no family is turned away for being unable to pay.
“When CAN placed a shadow teacher with my son in Class 2, everything changed. He used to cry every morning. Now he raises his hand in class. The teacher didn't just help him learn — she helped his classmates understand him.”
