Inclusive Education
We support access to learning environments where every child can participate, grow, and reach their full potential.
Children with Abilities Network
Children with Abilities Network (CAN) is committed to empowering children with disabilities through inclusion, advocacy, education, and community support—creating spaces where every child is seen, valued, and given the opportunity to thrive.
Building spaces where children with disabilities are supported, empowered, and celebrated.
Who We Are
Children with Abilities Network (CAN) exists to nurture ability, promote inclusion, and support children with disabilities in living fuller, more empowered lives.
We work with families, communities, and partners to create opportunities that strengthen learning, wellbeing, dignity, and belonging.
Learn More About UsWhat We Do
Our work is centered on practical support, inclusive opportunities, and long-term empowerment for children with disabilities and the communities around them.
We support access to learning environments where every child can participate, grow, and reach their full potential.
We strengthen families and communities with tools, awareness, and encouragement to better support children with disabilities.
We champion inclusion by challenging stigma, promoting understanding, and raising the visibility of children with disabilities.
We create opportunities that nurture confidence, life skills, emotional wellbeing, and meaningful participation in society.
Too many children with disabilities still face barriers to education, social participation, healthcare, and opportunity. At CAN, we believe that disability should never mean invisibility.

Every session Abigail runs starts with one question: what does this child need today? From outdoor learning circles to hands-on creative sessions, her programs meet children exactly where they are.

If you are a parent, caregiver, educator, or supporter, these are the questions we hear most often.
CAN runs four core programs: inclusive education support, family and community strengthening, advocacy and awareness, and growth and wellbeing activities. We work with children, families, educators, and communities to create practical pathways toward inclusion and opportunity.
The first step is to reach out to us directly through our contact page or by calling +254 707 027 727. We will have a conversation about your child's needs and which of our programs would be the best fit.
CAN is committed to ensuring that cost is never a barrier to a child receiving support. Our programs are accessible to families regardless of financial situation. Contact us to discuss your specific circumstances and we will find a way to help.
CAN works with children across a wide range of disabilities including physical, intellectual, hearing, visual, and learning disabilities. We believe every child has ability and we tailor our support to each child's unique needs and strengths.
CAN is based in Nairobi, Kenya. Our current programs operate in and around Nairobi, including work at partner schools and community spaces. We are actively working to expand our reach to support more children across Kenya.
You can support CAN from anywhere in the world. Options include financial contributions, sharing our work on social media, connecting us with potential partners, or contributing professional skills remotely. Visit our Donate page or contact us directly to discuss how you can help.
Transparency is important to us. We provide receipts for all contributions and are happy to share updates on how support is being used. Follow us on Twitter at @voicesofCAN for regular updates from our programs.
